Gardening for Acidic Soils

NOTE: This is an in-person program, held in the Brookside Gardens Visitor Center auditorium.

Are you struggling with acidic soil in your garden and plants that require more neutral or alkaline conditions? Learn how to work with nature rather than against it! A wide variety of ornamental plants, both native and exotic, thrive in acidic soil conditions. This lecture will review a broad range of perennials, trees, shrubs, vines, grasses and ferns that perform best under soil pH levels of 4.5-6. Be amazed at what you can grow in moderate to highly acidic soils.
